The
Jacket
Get an overview of what it is to own a boutique and wear the
jacket of owning a store. Learn unique ways to find out if you
are ready for this lifestyle event you are creating. Begin the
step by step approach you need to get a store open and stay
in business for years to come.
The
Dress Underneath
Learn the nitty-gritty in the numbers and terminologies that
will become your new language for starting and running a business.
Things like open to buy, cost of goods sold, turn over and variable
expenses will change your life. Feel good knowing your facts
and figures are ready to wear when you open the doors to your
public, in your new dress.

Denholm's Bio:
Dianne Denholm is the passion driven owner of D’Leas Fabric
Affair, Inc., her business that is continuing to evolve from
19 years as a specialty retail store in Cherry Creek North.
At the age of 32, Dianne opened her store after managing another
privately owned store for 10 years. D’Leas was reinvented
at least 3 times during 19 years on 3rd Avenue, with 3 locations
& sizes, a large community of staff members who remain close
friends and 6000 customers eager to stay involved with the future
steps of the business. Good marketing, buying and merchandising
were central to her longevity in Cherry Creek. Dianne has navigated
business trends of $100,000 to $1million annual sales volume,
recessions, 9/11 and huge competition to none at all. As the
leader of a national organization for small retail stores who
advertise and network together, Dianne enjoys a popular reputation
among her peers, as well as with a loyal national clientele.
