Ginni Baker of Dutch Revolt

How would you describe the style of your designs?
My jewelry and home accessories are fun, bold and modern.
Where do you gain inspiration from?
I used to be a math teacher and have always loved Geometry, so I often combine simple geometric shapes to form my designs.
What materials do you usually use?
Lately I have been working with mostly acrylic, but I also enjoy sewing and creating with any material.
What is the first piece you ever made?
I am in school for industrial design, so I have to take classes in all sorts of mediums. In my plastics class I had to make a display out of acrylic. I made a jewelry tree for that class and my friends all wanted one, so I started making more. The first one was rather large and clunky, and now the basic design is the same, but now they are new and improved!
Where can we find your designs?
At Fashion Denver and www.ginnibaker.com
What's the story behind the name of your line?
My friend Sarah and I decided to start Dutch Revolt, because we are both Dutch, and come from a long line of crafters, but we didn't want people to think we were making the same things our grandmothers did :)
