Each garment has great detail with exceptional tailoring and fit. What materials do you usually use? I love to use fabrics with different textures and subtle patterns. I enjoy working with natural fibers like silk, wool and cotton. what is the story behind the name of your line? I wanted to use my name in my line but my last name, Ohnmacht’ doesn’t roll off the tongue easily. So I started searching for a name that included my initials , SMO. Smooch was the perfect choice. what is the first piece you ever made? The first garment I ever made that was wearable for someone other than my dog or cat was a cropped blue and white polka-dot cotton top for myself. It had a pocket on the chest with a button and buttonhole. Then I couldn’t resist making a blue and white striped skort to match. It was a hot 2nd grade outfit! if you could dress anyone in the world who would it be? Marilyn Monroe because she could use a contemporary makeover to bring her curves and confidence into today’s fashion scene. where can we find your designs?
